The Indian Society for Hydraulics (ISH) has been set up in 1992 as a technical, educational and non profitery voluntary national organization to encourage and foster understanding amongst engineers, scientist and other technical personnel engaged in various activities related to hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering. Its Objectives include:
- To disseminate information in the field of hydraulics through seminars & symposia.
- To encourage its member to keep up to date with developments in country & abroad.
- To publish papers related to research/ review/ design and investigation in the Journal of Hydraulic Engineering together with a news letter at frequencies as considered necessary.
To accord recognition to outstanding workers in Hydraulics through suitable awards.
OBJECTIVE OF THE CONFERENCE
The objective of the conference is to bring together engineers/ scientists working in design, planning, construction maintenance and research aspects of hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering to interact and exchange their experiences through paper and invited lectures. The conference would be conducted in parallel sessions.

The conference will be Inagurated by Shri. Nitin Gadkari, Hon. Minister for Road Transport and Highways of India, on 8th December 2016 at Central Water & Power Research Station (CWPRS), Pune-411024 (Maharashtra), INDIA.
